About Us
Live2Learn Toys was set up in February 2007 and is run by husband and wife team. As parents of 2 young children, we understand the importance of toys in a child's development and are passionate about toys which provide great stimulation, educational and learning skills. We also love toys that are made from natural materials and help save our planet. All toys we sell are tested on our own children, therefore we know which toys are great for your children too. What our children like and learn from we like too! Be Good - Choose Wood! ![]() We have carefully chosen toys for our business which are creatively designed, fitted with non-toxic and environmentally friendly materials and are high in quality, safe and durable. We love wooden toys as they last much longer, do not require batteries and most importantly help save the planet as they are made from natural materials and can be recycled if no longer needed. We are always expanding our range of toys so please keep looking on our website as you will see new additions all the time. If there is any particular toy not on our website which you would love us to sell please email us. Brands we love! I'm Toy I'm Toy have been creating wooden and fabric toys since 1987. All the toys have been carefully designed and produced from environmentally friendly materials and sustainable rubber wood. The toys are finished with non-toxic and preservative free paint. ![]() Green Toys, Green Company. Thailand based Plan Creations Co, Ltd is the world's first and largest manufacturer of recycled wooden toys. PlanToys comes from rubberwood trees that are too old to produce latex. Prior to Plan Toys these trees were cut, burned and discarded. Through Plan Toys these trees are re-used to create innovative wooden toys loved by children around the world. Child specialists regard Plan Toys as effective educational tools and the products have won numerous awards from UK, Europe, USA Japan and Thailand. Green Material Plan Toys select environmentally-friendly materials Organic Rubberwood All Plan Toys begin with clean, natural rubberwood recycled from rubber trees no longer able to produce latex. No fertiliser is added so that the wood stays chemical free. To stabilise the wood Plan Toys uses a chemical free kiln drying process. E-Zero: Non-Formaldehyde Glue Plan Toys assembles products using proprietary non-formaldehyde glue in place of the traditional toxic wood glue. This glue is E-Zero whcih means it contains no Formaldehyde emission. Water Based Dye Plan Toys uses non-toxic, water based dyes to add accent colours to products. This colour contains no heavy metal elements such as lead, mercury, etc. Soy Ink & Water Based Ink Plan Toys uses ink & water based ink on printed materials. This ink decomposes faster than regular chemical ink and can be recycled more efficiently. Quality and Safety Plan Toys uncompromising quality is achieved through an experienced designing team through to manufacturing, packaging and shipping. Plan toys are meticulously dedicated to a process that ensures children's safety. ![]() The

All products are handmade by seven family based enterprises with whom Lanka Kade has long term working commitments. New products are designed in the UK for each supplier to utilise their individual knowledge and skills. Lanka Kade's aim is to provide continual employment throughout the year for each supplier, their families and their employees. A representative is employed full time in Sri Lanka to coordinate shipments, liase with the UK on behalf of Lanka Kade's suppliers and to arrange prompt payment for all goods supplied to Lanka Kade. Each business is independent and supplies direct to Lanka Kade. Lanka Kade does not use middlemen, nor does it pay commissions thus enabling the suppliers to receive a fair and full price for their products. Regular contact is maintained with all the suppliers by phone, fax, email and onsite visits throughout the year both direct from UK and weekly by our Sri Lankan co-ordinator. Lanka Kade work closely together to maintain, improve, and update each supplier’s working practice and understanding of fair trade. Lanka Kade is currently assisting three of their suppliers with long term interest free loans used for the development of their business’. In return, Lanka Kade's suppliers are expected to maintain a safe and pleasant working environment, equal opportunities, good rates of pay, prompt payment for both employees and in country suppliers, and a quality product at a fair price. Children are not involved at any stage of the production of items for Lanka Kade. Lanka Kade (UK) Ltd have been approved by BAFTS (British Association of Fair Trade Shops) since 2001 as a fair trade supplier. The environmental side Many of Lanka Kade's products are made from rubberwood sourced from exhausted rubber plantations that are replanted every 10 – 15 years. Lanka Kade prefer to use recycled products when available – the majority of our outer packing cartons are already once used and the packing materials are either shredded paper or materials supplied by local retail outlets from their own deliveries. Lanka Kade products and packaging are all PVC free and strive to avoid the use of excessive packaging. Come and see us at Botany Bay Come and see us at Botany Bay, Chorley, Lancashire.
